How we Built our House Blog

Like many before us, we came to Ireland to live in a beautiful place, grow some veggies, escape the threat of environmental pollution, and, in particular, build what we anticipated would be our final eco, energy-efficient house-fit for the twenty-first century! 

Doug, my husband, is an exceptional green builder with great carpentry skills in particular.  This is the fifth house we have built.  But we have renovated five others in the UK-always bringing them back to better-than-their-original.  Our work takes us to far-flung regions of the world, and, though building was not our primary occupation, we just seem to be passionate about building or renovating beautiful houses-and we are good at it!   In fact, we have had so many requests, that we are returning to the UK to build green for other people.
